More than 2500 domestic companies will be affected by the new ESG law
The government's proposal to amend the ESG legislation will soon be presented to Parliament. The legislation, which is expected to enter into force on 1 January 2024, will directly affect 2500 domestic companies and indirectly affect tens of thousands of companies in the supply chain. These companies will be required to carry out Environmental, Social, and Corporate governance (ESG) due diligence and may face penalties if they fail to comply with the reporting obligations.
